MEN OF STANDARD

(Men's Ministry)

Men it is time for us to be the heads of households that God ordained us to be. We cannot take on such a large responsibility unless we know the LORD! We are asking each and every man to seek the the Lord while He may be found.

Men we have heard that there are not any men in the church. Let's make it a point to prove the devil is a lair! We know that it is a lie and an attack from the enemy. Our goal this year is to be more committed to God, and to our families. Let's pray more and seek the Lord with gladness.

MENTORS:

We are in need of mentors for our young men of single mothers. If you have some extra time to spare, be a mentor to a young man. Spend a little time with our young men to keep them on the right path.

DUTIES:

There are times we are called on to provide security for our various church activities, as well as, provide the upkeep of our facility.

Monthly Meetings:

The MOS meet on 2nd Monday of each month. We are looking for every man 17 years of age and older to attend.

The Men of Standard believe that Men, Heads of Households, the High Priests of their homes should step forward and take the reins of leadership and responsiblity.

The MOS has established a foothold in the ministry at Loving Fellowship. Our MOS has put together several fellowships and mentoring programs that assist in the building of character in each male member of the ministry, as well as, gives a positive role model to the young men and boys. We provide several outings that tightens bonds (and friendships) between Men of God.

The MOS host the Kathy D. Mullins 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, Outdoor Camping Trips, and Bowling for the young men. These functions and fellowships are mentoring tools used to forge lasting relationships, spiritual growth and christian character in our young men.

MOS also has several fellowships that "sharpens the iron" of our men in the ministry. The Annual Men's BBQ Cookoff, Men's Retreat and the Men's Day program are looked forward to with anticipation. During the Annual Men's Day, the MOS announces the winners from the BBQ Cookoff, as well as, the recepients of the coveted Man of the Year, Spirit Filled Man and Outstanding Services Awards. 

YOUNG MEN OF STANDARD

The Young Men of Standard is our mentoring tool for our young men ages 13 - 17. It was formed and designed to keep our young men directed in a godly path, to help them make godly choices and give them an godly outlet for their issues. We spend quality time with them, encouraging and presenting sound role models for them. Sometimes all a young man needs is someone to listen.
